The SSC CPO SI Exam Syllabus is released by the commission after announcement of the recruitment.

The SSC CPO SI will comprise of two written examinations. The exam syllabus can be categorized as per the sections in each written examination. These are:

Phase 1: Written Examination (Paper-I)

Phase 2: Written Examination (Paper-II)

Phase 3: Physical Test

SSC CPO SI Exam Syllabus – Paper I Written Examination

  • This phase will comprise of four different sections.
  • Each section will have 50 questions of 1 mark each.
  • Total marks for the paper will be 200.
  • Candidates will have to secure the minimum cut-off in each section to be eligible for selection.

General Awareness

  • The GA (General Awareness) section is made to test the general awareness and knowledge of candidate with respect to his/her surroundings
  • It will also test the understanding of their applications/ influence/ effects to the society.
  • Candidate’s knowledge with respect to current affairs as well as matters of national and international importance will be asked.
  • Here the candidate’s ability and zeal to remain updated of one’s surroundings will be checked.

English Comprehension

  • This section will test the basic comprehension, language, vocabulary and writing ability of candidates.
  • Questions will be of basic level such as grammar, sentence correction, spelling mistakes, verbs & adverbs, reading passage etc.

Phase 2: Written Examination – Paper II 

  • Phase 2 is PET & Medical Exam. Only candidates passed in Phase 1 are eligible for Phase 2. Candidates who pass both Phase 1 (written examination) and Phase 2 (PET & Medical) are eligible for Phase 3.
  • Phase 3 is a written examination which consists of only one paper, English
