The SSC (GD) Constables 2017 Exam Syllabus is notified by the SSC authorities. It is an important phase of the recruitment process for GD Constables. Candidates who are interested and pass the various levels of examination are posted various police and defense fields such as CRFP, CIPL, BSF, Assam Riffles etc. SSC authorities formulate and frame the syllabus for SSC GD.

SSC had published notification for the year 2016 on 10th September 2016 and closing date for registration was 10th October 2016. The exam was held on 4th March 2017.

So this year you can expect the notification in the month of September 2017.

The syllabus contains all topic areas from which questions in the written examination will come. Therefore it is important for the candidates to note the syllabus and prepare accordingly.   • Reasoning & general intelligence:

This part of written examination tests the ability of the candidate to distinguish, observe & analyze things. It tests the analytical and problem solving aptitude of application. Questions will be majorly coming from the following areas:

This part of the written test examines the awareness of candidates with respect to his or her surrounding and environment. It also tests the candidate’s ability to apply this knowledge in everyday matters and issues. Questions will be majorly from current affairs and general knowledge. While there is no special study required, applicants will have to be thorough national & international happenings in areas of science, technology, economy, politics and culture.

This paper will test the general abilities of applicants in writing & understanding Basic English & Hindi languages. Questions will be mainly coming from:

  7. Comprehension
